So it's the end of the Singapore F1. God i really got a fever from it.
Being a fan of F1 since very very young, it's really one of the dreams to watch it live.

Last year: 60+ floor on top of Swissotel Stamford, magnificent view. Private feeling, air-condition, live telecast of StarSports on the hotel's tv. Refer to last year's post!

This year: On the grandstand itself! i would not say the view is better, but the feeling of being close up to the cars and drivers were fascinatingly.
Best part of being in the grandstand is the excitement of cheering along with the crowds. Most of them are Ferrari fans, i could see why. Hamilton fans were also a penny a dozen, as Singaporean being Singaporean. You will see tons of (the team) fans if they win. Say, Man Utd? I'm a Kimi fan, purely inherited from idolizing fellow countryman Mika Hakkinen. Gosh, being a Ferrari fan too, it's a dream to see him there. But he's going to Mclaren next year, what a nightmare.

Alright, these 3 days, were pretty much the best days of this year. Me and Dad (yes, mum couldnt give a damn about F1) were hanging out with each other for the whole day. I woke up, wait for him to come back from work in early afternoon. Have to take the train for Friday and Saturday due to road closure, so we have to set off pretty early. Have to teach him how to go through the trainstation's gate, how to tap ezlink card. I myself is also becoming a noob in public transport. i dont even know where to alight.

Reach City Hall, first thing is take a puff outside the station. Then, go through City Link, then to Marina Square, then to our Gate 7 and then to the grandstand. In the afternoon is so damn hot. Sweat like a pig. Massive amount of sprays of Davidoff Coolwater also no use. Caught the Formula BMW, Aston Martin, Porsche and finally, Formula 1 practices. Have to walk out and buy McDonald cause the chicken rice inside cost $8 and doesnt look nice at all. Since we got so much time, oh, might as well.

Saturday, a repeat of Friday. Except we eat at MS foodcourt. Newton Hokkien Prawn Noodle is the stall name. Yeah right. Like Newton one is really nice like that. I don't care. For these 2 days, we reach home after midnight. Went to sleep straight away to prepare for the next day. Tough.

Sunday, race day! pretty excited about today, but then it marks the last day of our extravaganza. We drove there, cause we both are pissed with transport. though for both days we were fairly lucky enough to have seats on trains and buses. Last day already, might as well just drive. Go to one wooloo place to park. Thought only we know about that place (my dad parked there last year) and it's free. Reach there, stopped by Civil Defence. And the ass who stopped us is PANJANG!! My dear friend. i couldnt stop laughing about it. They blocked the whole carpark for their red trucks. Then we move ourself to National Library. Parked there, walk some distance. blah blah blah, then reach the grandstand. again as usual, so humid. enjoyed the races of all classes. we even experienced the races close-up before we were chased away. (it's a restricted area, fun espionage with dad though :D ). this time we had our dinner inside as i dont want to miss the Driver's Parade. Cheered for Kimi and my dad cheered for Rubens Barichello. Uncle support uncle. -.-
Not a good race, kimi finish out of point. Then we walk back to the carpark. Got a can of free Red Bull from the girls. On the way back, i was feeling quite sad. it marks the end. what i really enjoyed is the time i spend with dad. talked alot, eat together, smoked together at every interval. On the days we took train, we alight at chinese garden and walk our way back, quite a distance but we chatted through out. I really love him. i'm so glad i'm able to bring him along with me to watch our favourite sport. next year we'll do it again. :D

Have been moody since. Got too used to the life of the 3 best days of the years. I didnt even complained about the long hours, long train rides, etc etc.

Long post. But i just want to remember these special 3 days, mainly because it's the time i've been so close with my dad since for years.

Peeps out there, spend some good time with your family. it's really a good blessed feeling. it's a very very blissful feel.

Went to ION Orchard to catch Kimi Raikkonen and Giancarlo Fisichella.
Gosh it's the first time i do stupid things like waiting in the sun for one full damn hour just to catch a glimpse of your childhood hero for 15 minutes.

After that went to Puma: Red in My Head, again to catch him.
Here are the pics.
